Honored to announce that Dryad was nominated for the Earthshot Prize 2022 in the Fix our Climate category! Launched by Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and The Royal Foundation in 2020, the Earthshot Prize is the most prestigious global environment prize in history. It is designed to incentivise change and help repair our planet over the next ten years. The prize has five categories in which finalists will be chosen: Protect and Restore Nature, Clean Our Air, Revive Our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World, and Fix Our Climate.

At Dryad we are developing Silvanet, aiming to build a nervous system for the forest - protecting one of our most vital natural resources from destruction by wildfires. Silvanet will support afforestation and reforestation initiatives with health & growth monitoring using a large-scale IoT sensor network embedded in the forest. Forests are one of the largest carbon sinks we have, yet we are losing an area roughly the size of England annually and deforestation is contributing up to 20% of global carbon emissions.
Dryad was nominated by Purpose Driven Innovation Ecosystem (PDIE Group) which is building a global ecosystem for game changers who are co-creating a better tomorrow. They are one of the top Earthshot Prize nominators.
