Our partner Semtech published a good technical article on Dryad and our collaboration with Swarm (now SpaceX) for ultra-early detection of wildfires using Semtech's LoRaWAN radio network technology.
Dryad's Silvanet Wildfire Sensors use LoRaWAN to communicate via the large-scale mesh network infrastructure provided by the Silvanet Mesh and Border Gateways. For sending alerts from remote locations without terrestrial internet connectivity, the Silvanet Border Gateway has built-in support for the Swarm (now part of SpaceX) satellite radio network.
